Review Aldi’s Gluten free wraps

Print Friendly

In the past year Aldi U.S. has introduced a new line of gluten free products. In the past couple of months my local Aldi has gotten them in, so far I love them!
Their liveGfree Gluten free Plain Wraps have become a quick favorite for the whole family. They really love them 1st thing in the morning, since they are quick, easy and very portable.

We have made burritos, had them filled with beans, taco meat, I even used them in place of flour tortillas to make quesadilla’s. They are pliable, have just the right amount of chewy texture and are better than most wraps I have had even before going gluten free.

Their flavor is mild and goes with just about anything sweet or savory. You could even use them in place of crepes.

I have even deep fried them they make a crispy cracker like chip.

Now they are my go-to anytime I need something to take with me when I am out and about. However I like the breakfast wrap so much that I make them once a week, hehe!

The wraps are Gluten free, appear to be dairy and egg free but they do contain soy and corn (Sorry Faith!).

They are just as YUM as they look by the way.

Breakfast wraps are very easy to make.

You simply scramble some eggs at the very end add some cheese at the very end, let that melted and get mixed in. Then, I add pre-made* chopped bacon, you could add anything really just whatever works for your family, but we love the contrast and salty flavor bacon adds to the soft eggs and the slight chew of the wrap.

I wrap mine in foil so that they stay together while you eat them.
We scramble 3 eggs and add a 1/4 cup of grated cheese (whatever you like I add mild cheddar) and 2 chopped slices of bacon. Lightly warm the wrap in a nonstick pan butter it a little if you like.I toast mine until they are just warm and pliable. We have had this with sausage too and it is just as yummy.

* I bake bacon in the oven in advance so it is easy to just reheat the day I need. Just heat it in a pan or the toaster oven. (BTW store bought pre-made bacon works too!)
