These are just the pick me up I need around three in the afternoon.
You know that point in the day when it feels like the day will never end.
The point where if you were young or old enough you would just go take a nap.
I miss naps.
I should have fought them less when I was little.
These yummy little balls of energy are not just tasty and full of energy, they are actually kinda healthy!
(Ok I don’t know that for sure but let’s go with it)
If you don’t like coffee you can leave out the espresso powder.
If you can’t get hazelnuts you can use peanuts, almonds or cashew but when you do add the last half cup of dates a couple at a time until the mix starts to look moist the amount of dates depends on the dryness of the nuts the higher the oil content of the nuts the less dates you need.

*The hazelnuts need to be finely chopped if you can’t get hazelnut flour, get hazelnuts and make your own by pulsing in your blender until they are just finely chopped (too far and it become butter) and add the remaining ingredients.
** You can use chocolate chips with dairy, you can do a mix of 3/4 chocolate chip 1/4 mint chips, feel free to play with it!
